Meet our Artists

GUEST CHOREOGRAPHER

A figure skater since age five, Anna Matuszewski is a triple gold medalist who identifies figure skating as her first great love and brings her passion for movement and storytelling to every performance. As a choreographer off the ice, she has created extensive world tours for the high-profile artist Macklemore, seamlessly blending her expertise into something fun and unique on stage.
Her work centers on one simple mission: helping people reconnect with their inner creative child through the joy of movement and expression. Whether coaching on the ice, choreographing for the stage, or performing herself, she believes in the transformative power of play and artistic exploration.
Anna remains grateful for all the collaborators, coaches, and artistic influences who have shaped her journey. 

DANCER

Mija Trimble (nee Bishop) started dancing at the age of six in Hiroshima, Japan. It was not long until she fell in love with ballet and went on to perform title roles in Cinderella, Firebird, Giselle, Paquita, and more. Teaching has been her passion for the last twelve years, and she has taught and directed shows in various dance schools throughout the Pacific Northwest, as well as Tokyo and Kanagawa, Japan. In May of 2021, she decided to create her own school/company, and opened Flight Feathers Ballet. While directing and teaching have now become her main focus, Mija still enjoys performing by collaborating with local musicians and artists, and has been featured in numerous shows and music videos. 

VOCALIST & MUSICIAN

Alicia Elliott's involvement with the arts has been a life pursuit. She skated competitively from 1966-1983 and began coaching competitive skating in 1984. In addition to her Gold in Figures and Freestyle, she went on to become a Master-rated coach; she is in the process of being certified as a yoga instructor and continues to coach ice skating.

What brings her to our project is her music: Alicia is a singer/songwriter with a band on Whidbey Island called Local Secrets (localsecretsband.com) She has been writing music since she was seven years old. Her band is currently recording an album that will hopefully debut on Spotify before the end of the year. She is also a painter, (moon-housestudio.com)and is currently the director of the Whidbey Working Artists Studio Tour (whidbeyworkingartists.com).

GUEST PERFORMER

Ice Arts Northwest is honored to welcome Liam Kapeikis, an artist whose canvas is the ice. Beginning his craft at the age of two, Liam has cultivated a powerful and expressive style, captivating audiences as a national and international competitor for Team USA. With grace and power, he has graced the ice at prestigious international events, including Skate America, Skate Canada, and the Four Continents Championships. Liam's consistent presence at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships since 2017—spanning levels from Juvenile to Senior—is a testament to his profound commitment, earning him coveted spots at both the World Junior Championships and the Youth Olympics. We are thrilled to have such a celebrated artist supporting our mission.

CAST MEMBER

Keenan Prochnow is a professional figure skater and coach from the Chicago area. He began his skating journey at age six, competing in men's freestyle before transitioning to pairs at sixteen. A decorated athlete, Keenan was the 2019 Junior Pairs National Champion and a five-time national medalist. He proudly represented Team USA from 2017 to 2021, competing at numerous international events on the Junior Grand Prix circuit and achieving a 6th place overall finish at the 2019 ISU Junior World Championships. After retiring from competitive skating, Keenan performed with professional skating companies in shows across the USA and Europe. He is a two-time USFSA gold medalist and a USFSA certified coach, specializing in freestyle, power skating/skating skills, and pairs.

CAST MEMBER

Edward Jahoda is a respected figure skater in the world of ice dance, bringing both a wealth of experience and a passion for growing the sport to the Pacific Northwest. A native of Maryland, he is a triple gold medalist and a two-time Junior National medalist in Ice Dance. He now shares his expertise as a part-time coach at the Kraken Community Iceplex, where he is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of skaters. When he's not on the ice, Edward can be found playing hockey and soccer, enjoying time on the water, or taking in a live show.

CAST MEMBER

A principal performer with Ice Arts Northwest, Jessie Lu is also a senior solo ice dancer and coach. Her accomplishments include four U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medals. Jessie's artistic interests extend beyond the ice to include contemporary dance, ballet, and Latin ballroom. She is an incoming freshman at the University of Washington, where she plans to major in biochemistry. Off the ice, she finds relaxation in journaling, Sudoku, and music.

CAST MEMBER

Kaysa Talbot has spent over seventeen years on the ice. Her accomplishments include a U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medal, two gold medals and a bronze medal at State Games of America, becoming a Northwest Regional Champion, as well as earning First Place in National Showcase. She now is a coach in the Western Washington area. Kaysa took a break from figure skating to play Womens Ice Hockey, including at the College level for Grand Canyon University, before returning to figure skating. 

CAST MEMBER

With an impressive career on the ice, Caleb Niva brings a unique blend of athleticism and artistry to Ice Arts Northwest. A Bellingham, WA, native, Caleb is a decorated figure skater with seven U.S. National and seven Sectional medals to his name. His four USFSA gold medals are a testament to his dedication and skill.

Off the ice, Caleb channels his creative energy into filmmaking. He is currently enrolled at the Seattle Film Institute, where he hones his passion for creating short films, further showcasing his diverse talents.

CAST MEMBER

A globally recognized professional figure skater, Meegan McDonald is a USFSA Double Gold Medalist that has graced the ice for Disney on Ice, Rand Productions, Glacier Ice, and Japan's prestigious Fantasy on Ice (starring Evgeni Plushenko). Her extensive professional training underpins a successful career that also includes choreographing for national-level figure skaters, the opening ceremonies of Skate America (Spokane, WA), and serving as Lead Choreographer for Rand Productions' "Christmas on Ice" (2012/2013).

CAST MEMBER

Lianah Noormohamed discovered her passion for figure skating over 15 years ago, and it has remained a constant throughout her life. Her love for the sport led her to Adrian College, where she competed on both the Collegiate Synchronized Skating Team and the Intercollegiate Team while earning her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. The dedication and perseverance she gained through skating continues to inspire her passion for teaching, and she looks forward to creating a classroom where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to grow.

POET

S.J. Siedenburg is a writer and poet whose work explores the emotional complexity of the human experience through fiction and poetry. A former freestyle skater and ice dancer who earned three U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medals, Sarah is honored to contribute spoken word poetry to Ice Arts Northwest’s Heart: The Human Resonance Project, uniting her love of language with the artistry of the ice. VOCALIST

Amanda Glenn is thrilled to be collaborating with this incredible group of artists! She discovered her passion for singing at the age of thirteen and it has remained a powerful source of self-expression, healing, and connection ever since. She has primarily performed in musical theater productions, with favorite roles including Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Fantine in Les Misérables, and Margo in Bright Star.

GUEST PERFORMER

Jamie Chandler Hawley is a figure skating coach and professional skater. She began skating at the age of thirteen in her hometown, Breckenridge, CO. Jamie first began her competitive career in 2009 through the Ice Sports Industry (ISI), later competing with the collegiate team at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is a USFS Double Gold Medalist in Skating Skills and Partnered Pattern Dance. Jamie has toured internationally with Holiday on Ice and traveled throughout North America with Disney on Ice. In January 2026, she became a certified Level 1 Choreographer through American Ice Theatre. A few months later, she skated with American Ice Theatre’s professional company in Boston, MA. As a coach, her philosophy centers on developing strong fundamentals while inspiring a love for movement and artistry. Jamie aims to foster a positive, supportive environment where every skater can thrive.

GUEST PERFORMER

Mia is a triple gold medalist with nineteen years of figure skating experience. She began her competitive skating career in Southern California before moving to Seattle. She represented the University of Washington in intercollegiate competitions, competing in both ice dance and freeskate. She recently graduated from the University of Washington with a B. A. in Business Administration, Marketing, and currently coaches at Kraken Community Iceplex.

GUEST PERFORMER

Dayna Suess has been involved with skating for 13 years now. She is a born and raised PNW skater and loves the community and people she has met here over the years. Some of her favorite skating memories were performing in the holiday ice show at the Seattle Center when she was younger. Dayna is now a member of the University of Washington competitive skating team and a part-time coach at the Kraken Community Iceplex, where she has helped choreograph multiple holiday ice shows. She is currently studying Biology at the UW and is excited to continue to make more memories in the skating world.

GUEST PERFORMER

Erika Gagné discovered skating at a young age after her parents enrolled her in lessons at the neighborhood rink, inspired in part by her father's love of hockey. A six-time Canadian National Ice Dance competitor, medalist, U.S. National Theatre on Ice coach and competitor, Erika spent two decades performing as a principal skater with Disney On Ice, touring more than 60 countries and sharing the joy of skating with audiences around the world. Inspired by the lasting influence of great coaches, she enjoys helping skaters develop confidence, artistry, and a lifelong love of the sport. Performing with Ice Arts Northwest reflects her belief that skating is timeless and that there are many meaningful paths to continue creating, performing, and inspiring others on the ice.

GUEST PERFORMER

Kendall LeClaire is inspired by the intersection of science, athleticism, creativity, and storytelling, believing skating has the unique ability to create meaningful human connection through movement. A four-time U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist, International Ice Dance medalist, and Level II American Ice Theatre Choreographer, she has coached for more than two decades, guiding skaters of all ages and disciplines from their very first steps on the ice to regional, sectional, and national competition, including the U.S. National Theatre on Ice Championships. As a coach, choreographer, and performer, Kendall enjoys helping skaters discover confidence, curiosity, and their own artistic voice. She believes skating is a lifelong art form that continues to inspire, challenge, and connect people at every stage of life.
